Our range of plants
Depending on seasonal conditions Landsdale Plants supplies:

Citrus

A citrus tree can be used as an ornamental feature of your garden as well as being a fruit bearing tree. They are great for the front of your home or the backyard. They are very adaptable tolerating hot or cold depending on the variety chosen.

Citrus plants are extremely versatile, they can be grown in tubs to decorate a courtyard, they can even be trained to grow like creepers along a wall. They can be pruned into various shapes, especially those with smaller leaves. Citrus are evergreen trees and depending on the type chosen can grow from 1m to15m in height.

Potted Colour & Seedlings

A large variety of plants can be grown in pots. This can be a useful way to have a low maintenance garden if you have a small space such as a balcony, patio or rooftop. This is also a way to have an inexpensive seasonal garden that gives you year long colour as you can change seedlings throughout the year.

Potted colour is also ideal for a small front garden bringing delightful colour to otherwise drab areas. A large pot can be filled with many plants that are more likely to thrive together as well as being an attractive feature to your garden.

Grasses

Grasses are becoming a popular part of many gardens. They are a hardy plant that is low maintenance. They vary from requiring full sun to full shade, as well as differing in their soil needs. They can be used in many different styles of garden.

Grasses come in two main types, one consists of runners that spread above the ground, the other is the clumping type that generally expands in width from it’s initial planted position. Grasses are pollinated by the wind and are therefore less colourful than other plants as they don’t need birds or bees to aide their reproduction.

Roses

Roses can be considered one of the most romantic flowers in the world, with millions being produced in Australia alone. There are over 100 species of rose. They are tough plants that need a little special care throughout the year in order to produce their wonderful blooms.

There are a few points to consider when choosing roses as your preferred plant, these include soil type, time of the year and the positioning of your roses. There is a rose for every place in the garden you just need to find the one that is right for yours. They come in many shapes, colours and sizes and can have the most fantastic aromas.

Shrubs & Hedges

Shrubs are smaller than trees, there are large and small shrubs, with many growing to 4m or less. They can be used for wind protection or to provide privacy. Some enjoy full sun while others need a more shaded part of the garden. Many have beautifully coloured and perfumed flowers, some even have berries.

Some more hardy shrubs can be trained into hedges, these are perfect for creating a border for your garden. Others still can be grown in pots indoors and are great for smaller areas. Many can withstand long dry periods. They can produce lovely flowers for decoration in vases.

Indoor Plants

Some plants thrive in an indoor environment. They may prefer a shaded area inside your home or even a well lit position. They can vary in size from a small succulent to a larger palm.

As long as you have the time to provide some water and a little light an indoor plant can be a great addition to brighten up that dull spot in the home. Wonderful for the bathroom, bedroom, living area, lounge or entry hall choosing an indoor plant can be a well made decision.

Ground Cover

Ground covers can help reduce water loss and weeds. As they grow they spread across the top of the soil. Many are hardy and tolerate dry conditions, others enjoy sun and shaded positions.

They can also be grown in baskets and some varieties come in a range of colours. They can be great to use in a more sandy soil.

Palms

Palms can bring great interest to a garden as well as being a water saver. Some can be tough and grow in poor soil and hot conditions. Others grow well in shaded or full sun positions. Some prefer a good soil.

Smaller varieties can be grown in pots. They grow from 1m to 25m depending of course on the variety. Some are thornless but many have thorny stems. Many are also fruit bearing.
